Barbra
Streisand appeared on the Academy Awards telecast this evening in a
pre-taped special segment discussing her historic win as Best
Actress of 1968. The segment was aired just 10 minutes into the show
with Barbra reflecting on her award winning performance. Footage from
the 1969 broadcast was shown with cameras on Barbra just moments after
her name was announced, and then on stage as she accepted her award. A
recently taped video of Barbra was also aired to mark the occasion and
to accompany the brief retrospective. In a moment of modesty Barbra
fondly remembered winning her Best Actress Oscar.
