So
Long Oprah, See Ya Later
...
May
25,
2011
As
Oprah
Winfrey
broadcasts
her
final
show
today,
we
thought
we'd
take
a brief look
back
at
those
extraordinary
Streisand appearances.
Since 1996, Barbra was a guest on "Oprah" four times.
Barbra, Oprah
and those 'Golden Notes'
November 16, 2010
Barbra made her 4th
appearance on "Oprah"
today in a full hour
tribute episode. Robert
Redford showed up and
joined Barbra in a lively
(and frank) conversation
about their time together
filming "The Way We Were."
And we now know with
certainty that it was
Redford who put the
kibosh on a "Way We
Were" sequel. According to
Barbra, she wanted to
continue the story of
Katie and Hubbell.
Redford, on the other
hand, said that it was
best to leave a good thing
alone. Too bad.
Once again, Oprah got
Barbra to perform live.
For this special reunion,
Barbra reinvented her
signature song "The Way We
Were." Her vocals were
accompanied by a simple
piano in a rendition that
was brilliant.
And yes, Barbra. You do sing
with golden notes.
Barbra
to Appear on Oprah Nov. 16
October 22, 2010
Barbra
Streisand
will
return
to
"The
Oprah
Winfrey
Show"
on Nov.
16 for
an interview and performance.
This
will
be
Barbra's
4th
visit
to the
popular talk
show.
On each "Oprah" appearance, Barbra was there to promote a particular
project, be it a movie, an album, or as we shall soon see, a book.
Barbra's November 16 visit with Oprah will
coincide
with
the
same-day
release
of
her
first book,
"My Passion for Design."
