"What's Up Doc?" at Lincoln Center

May 2010

(May 23, 2010) - The Film Society at Lincoln Center in New York has announced that they will screen the Barbra Streisand comedy classic, "What's Up, Doc?" on May 30 as part of their Slapstick Comedy Marathon weekend.

The film can be seen at Lincoln Center's Walter Reade Theatre at 4 PM. Admission is $9. Visit the
Film Society at Lincoln Center for details on how to obtain tickets.

"What's Up, Doc?" had its world premiere at New York's Radio City Music Hall during their Easter Show in 1972.

In June, 1997, The Walter Reade Theatre at Lincoln Center hosted another Streisand classic film when they presented "Yentl."

Barbra at Lincoln Center

Lincoln Center is featured in the two films Barbra made prior to "What's Up Doc?". In "On A Clear Day You Can See Forever" (above) Daisy Gamble spends a few musical moments in front of the iconic Lincoln Center fountains during the Come Back to Me montage. In "The Owl and the Pussycat," Doris strolls with Felix down the staircase (adjacent to the Walter Reade Theatre) before she utters her most notorious line in the film.
