Barbra Streisand made
worldwide headlines and show business history when she toured
continental Europe, the UK and Ireland during the summer of 2007. Her
international reviews were glowing, and the success of these appearances
has Barbra contemplating an extension of the tour, this time taking her
show to Asia and possibly New Zealand.
Barbra's adventures in Europe were exciting to say the least. Not only
were her performances acclaimed by all, but her comings and goings were
reported daily in the local press. It was a throw back to the early
1960s when Barbra's every move was watched and reported on.
Through the media, those of us unable to attend were able to follow
Barbra as she visited art galleries, the theatre, local restaurants, and
the highlight of her time in Europe, receiving the French Legion of
Honor commendation from President Sarkozy.
